Description:

Designed to increase the capacity of the residents in 16 targeted areas to become more empowered as stakeholders in their communities. Structured activities and coordinated initiatives are implemented to promote and foster community improvement and revitalization in neighborhoods where low income citizens reside.

With a force on community empowerment through maximum feasible participation, citizens receive support, training and assistance from professionally trained Community Organizers, in the enhancement of their roles as advocates for the targeted communities. The Division utilizes a community !€œgrassroots approach!€, which encompasses a team oriented strategy deployed by its Citizen Participation and Community Service Center Staff.
