Description:

The mission of the Greater Miami Service Corps is to transform the lives of young people through education and service activities that improve our communities and strengthen our local workforce.

Provides the following services:

High School and GED Prep Classes
Community Service
Vocational Training
College and Career Readiness Training
Educational Scholarships
A Bi-weekly Stipend
Paid and Unpaid Internships
Employment Assistance
Industry Credentials

General Information

Hours:

7:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

(Closed on County Holidays)

Intake Process:

A resident of Miami-Dade County.
Must be out-of-school at time of enrollment.
Must be between 18-24 years old.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Non-Citizen who is in compliance with U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Applicant must be low to moderate income individual.
Applicant must attend an orientation session
Pass a drug screening (if enrolling in paid work experience component).
Complete Miami-Dade County fingerprint requirements.

Social Security Card
Birth Certificate
Alien Registration Card or other official document Indicating Right to Work
Proof of Income (Letter of support from parent or guardian with check stub; Public Assistance printout or SSI Letter)

Youth/young adult offenders accepted.
