GOODWILL - CAREER AND SKILLS CENTER

Description:

Offers a full range of career development services to job seekers about obtaining a new job inside or outside the agency or would like to grow their skills to increase earnings or hours.

-Career Navigation Services: equip individuals with the tools and resources such as: Skill Assessments, Aptitude Testing, Strengths and Interests Discovery Sessions, Job and Career Awareness, Resume Writing Assistance, Interview Preparation, Community Referrals, and English as a Second Language classes

-Hiring Events: host onsite hiring events and attends community-based hiring events.

-Career Exploration Services: help youth explore potential career paths and develop the skills they need to succeed. Participants will receive an interactive 80-hour curriculum.

-Internship Opportunities: provide individuals in colleges or community colleges with valuable work experience, professional development, and exposure to the nonprofit sector.

-Pre-employment Experience: provide individuals and groups with the skills and experience needed to obtain a job.

-Outreach and School Tours: attend many community events to spread the work about Goodwill and provide services to those in need. Additionally, staff host youth from various schools as they come onsite to learn about work.
