Description:

Public housing is intended for the most disadvantaged members of the community, i.e., extremely low-income, elderly or disabled residents.

The public housing program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) manages almost 9,200 units of public housing in 100 family and elderly developments. PHCD also manages several mixed-income housing developments charging rent to low-income families that can afford to bear some of the costs of housing.


NOTE: Applications for the Miami-Dade County Public Housing and Community Development's (PHCD) 2024 Public Housing Waitlist can be submitted online only during the established open registration period from Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 12 a.m. (Midnight) through Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time). No paper applications will be available or accepted.

No applications will be accepted before or after this period.
