Description:

The detention center is for high risk juvenile offenders under age 18 who have been referred by the police or Juvenile Justice Intake. This is a secured facility, with an average length of confinement lasting 21 days, depending on the nature of the charges which lead to the arrest. During detention, youth participate in educational and recreational programs. This center is also responsible for transporting youthful offenders to court hearings.
