The Salvation Army's Apple Tree Program helps children start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Donors "adopt" an apple representing a local child and provide a new backpack filled with essential school supplies tailored to the student's age and grade level.
Serving children ages 4 to 24, the program supports families facing financial hardship by ensuring students have the tools they need for academic success, from backpacks and notebooks to calculators, pencils, and other classroom essentials.
More than a backpack drive, Apple Tree is an investment in a child's future. By removing barriers to education, the program helps students begin the school year with dignity, confidence, and the opportunity to thrive. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, The Salvation Army continues Doing the Most Good® by equipping local children for success in the classroom and beyond.
