Description:

Empowering Youth, Inc. (EYI) will implement the EMPOWER Family Strengthening program using the Culturally Informed and Flexible Family-Based Treatment for Adolescents (CIFFTA) evidence-based program model. The primary program activities include individual counseling, family counseling, and psycho-educational sessions as used in the CIFFTA intervention.

The program will serve adolescents and their families residing in Miami Gardens, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Liberty City, Miami Beach, Overtown, Opa-locka and West Little River. The targeted population includes families who are experiencing challenges with child/youth behavior, parent child relationships and/ or consequences of youth violence, or parent mental health/ substance abuse.

This also includes families with involvement in the child welfare and delinquency systems. Youth and families will be provided resources and referrals for additional services as needed.
