Description:

The Summer Reading Explorers Program helps rising kindergarteners and first and second graders improve their reading skills. Students reading at or below reading level receive small-group reading tutoring services provided by certified teachers. The program is tailored to each child!€™s reading ability, is both structured and interactive, and follows an evidence-based reading curriculum.


Summer camp dates: June 10th-August 2nd, 2024

Hours:

8:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri

(For eight weeks during the summer)

Intake Process:

To determine eligibility, parents and children participate in a four hour intake assessment consisting of a diagnostic interview, parent and teacher rating scales, as well as child testing.

Program Fees:

Offers sliding scale fees as well as some free slots, call for more information

Eligibility:

The program is open to preschool children entering Kindergarten (must turn 5 by September 1st) with behavioral, attention, and/or emotional difficulties in preschool and/or currently have behaviors that are challenging to manage at home or school.
