Excel Kids Academy (EKA) serves vulnerable communities of Miami Dade County. EKA seeks to provide a summer camp through arts enrichment program. It will provide services to students comprised of the general population with approximately 14% being Exceptional Students Education (ESE) students. Participants disadvantaged, and from low-income homes. A significant number are performing poorly in school and reside in the Liberty City, Opa-Locka, Carol City/North Miami/Miami-Gardens areas. Literacy, fitness, social skills, family involvement, nutrition/ health and project-based and summer activities are being offered.

EKA is accessible to all children in the North Miami Dade County. It has two locations: one location in Miami Gardens and an off-site Campus in North Miami. Request for funds comes to strengthen, enhance, and expand its existing services to meet the demanding need of families in the Miami Gardens, Carol City, Opa-Locka, and North Miami areas.
