Description:

During the summer, children and teens who aren't reading or participating in other learning activities can lose up to two months of academic skills achieved during the school year.

Read for fun and prizes this summer! Every 30 minutes spent reading or listening to a book earns you an entry into the prize drawing at the end of the challenge. Attend library programs and events to earn even more chances to win a great prize! Open to all ages

General Information

Hours:

11:00am-4:00pm, Mon-Sat

Intake Process:

Register and pick up a reading log at any branch within the Miami!€‘Dade Public Library System.

Participants may complete one entry ticket for every 30 minutes of reading or listening to a book. Additional entry tickets will be provided to participants who attend library programs and/or participate in the #Read30 Social Media Challenge. Please see branch staff for more information about entry tickets.

Each reading log contains six entry tickets. Logs may be picked up at any MDPLS branch or downloaded at the website.

Parents or legal guardians may complete and submit entry tickets on behalf of their children.
