M-DC CULTURAL AFFAIRS - YOUTH ARTS IN THE PARKS - OAK GROVE PARK

Description:

Youth Arts in the Parks is an inclusive, socially-oriented arts program for children and youth ages 6-17 with and without disabilities (youth with disabilities welcome up to age 22). This fun and educational program teaches kids of all ability!€™s visual arts, creative arts & movement, or animation arts in an out-of-school social setting. Classes are led by professional artists/art teachers, certified instructors, and disability experts.

Classes are held on Saturday mornings for 12 weeks each fall and spring, culminating with an end-of-session performance and exhibition. In addition, the Youth Arts in the Parks multidisciplinary Creative Arts Summer Camp is currently offered for 6 weeks in summer.

Program Fees:

$40 for Miami-Dade Residents
$300 for non-residents.

Program fees include 12 weekly sessions, an AKI t-shirt, and culminating event.

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once program capacity is reached, individuals submitting registration forms will be placed on a waiting list.
