FIU !€“ CCF - STAND

Description:

Supporting Teens' Academic Needs Daily (STAND) offers comprehensive family based services to middle and high school students with attention, organization, and behavioral problems. STAND has received funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and the U.S. Department of Education to research the program!€™s effectiveness. Results of this research suggest that for most families, STAND produces significant improvements in organization and academic skills, parent-teen conflict and teen independence.

The parent and the student will come to FIU once a week for 8-10 weeks of 60-90 minute meetings to learn skills that support academic success.

Services can also be provided in-person and Tele-Health

Note: Program does not run in the summer, only throughout the school year.
