Program Description: Following the school day, OYC Miami offers structured after-school programming throughout the school year. Students participate in age-appropriate activities at OYC!€™s main site or at partner school locations. Programming serves Middle School (6th!€“8th). Transportation is provided to ensure safe and reliable access to programming.

During after-school programming, OYC provides comprehensive support services. Students receive a nutritious meal and snack, along with academic support, recreation and wellness activities, enrichment programming (including visual arts, music, performing arts, dance, and STEM), exposure trips, health and wellness sessions, and college and career readiness activities. Across all program elements, staff prioritize building strong relationships with students and families while supporting each student in working toward their individual goals.
Services are outlined by grade levels below.

Academic Support: Homework assistance and tutoring access (as needed)
Arts: Dance, music production, vocal and instrument lessons, digital art, poetry/spoken word, film/media production, visual arts, and performance opportunities
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities, Robotics, 3D printing, coding, digital media, and applied technology projects
Sports and Fitness: Physical fitness activities and access to sports programs
Early College and Career Exposure: College tours, career exploration, community service projects, mentoring, and leadership development
Additional Support: Mentoring, social-emotional wellness, daily meals and family engagement
