Description:

The mission of Miami-Dade County Public School's Title I Parent and Family Engagement Program is to enhance parent and family engagement, access and advocacy in an effort to build parents' and families' capacity for meaningful, school and community engagement in support of measurable improvement in student achievement.

At the Title I NRC, parents and families can engage in workshops/training and activities that are educational, interactive and hands-on. These activities also incorporate Values Matter Miami, a local campaign that finds unique ways to promote nine core values in schools and surrounding communities. The center also serves as a training center for Title I Community Involvement Specialists (CIS) and Community Liaison Specialists (CLS). Space can be reserved for small group meetings and the center can also assist parents with any printing, duplicating, and faxing need they may have (contingent upon availability of equipment and supplies).
