Description:
The STEP Ahead youth Enrichment program offers free after-school and summer camp activities for Miami-Dade County Public School (M-DCPS) high school students with special needs. In partnership with M-DCPS, the program facilitates the shift from high school to the workforce through learning opportunities, enrichment activities, social skills lessons, job training and employment support. The goal is to prepare the participants with the tools and experience necessary in order to ensure a comfortable and successful transition.
Program participants have internship opportunities at various sites throughout the city during the school year.

Dates: June 10th - July 25, 2024
Registration will begin on April 8, 2024

Program Fees:
Quarterly non-refundable registration fee of $50
- Quarter 1: August 17- October 26, 2023
- Quarter 2: October 30 - January 18, 2024
- Quarter 3: January 22 - April 9, 2024
- Quarter 4: April 11 - June 6, 2024
There is a one time non refundable registration fee of $50 required for all participants for the summer camp.

Eligibility:
Middle and high school Miami-Dade County Public School students with intellectual disabilities 14-22 years old attending one of the following high schools may register for the program.
FREE transportation available in the Hialeah/Hialeah Gardens and Miami Lakes/Miami Gardens area.
