M-DC PARKS - ARCOLA PARK

Description:

Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS) Youth Development After School Programs, provides inclusive youth development services and after-school programming and summer camp programming for children.

Our programs and services are offered at the following municipal parks. North: Arcola Park, Gwen Cherry Park, , Martin Luther King Park, and Oak Grove Park. South: Live Like Bella Park, Naranja Park, and JL (JOE) and Enid W. Demps Park (previously known as Goulds Park). MDPROS inclusive evidenced based programs offers programming in the following areas: Group Literacy, Differentiated Literacy Instruction (DLI) (Homework Support, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Physical Fitness, Healthy Eating and Nutrition Education and Family Engagement. Throughout the course of the program, satisfaction surveys are conducted to receive feedback from the participants and parents on their needs and interests.


Summer Camp: June 10th- August 2nd, 2024
Program offers sports swimming arts & crafts, board games, and field trips. Lunch and a snack are provided.

No School Days: Provides day camps that are available on teacher planning days, spring break and winter break.

9:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri
8:30 am early drop-off and 6 pm late pick-up available

Families in need of financial assistance must register and apply for assistance in person at their selected park.
