BRANCHES - COMMUNITY ID

Description:

The Miami-Dade Community ID will be an accepted form of photo identification for select services that can be life-changing for many Miami-Dade residents including seniors, survivors of domestic violence, formerly incarcerated or homeless individuals, foster youth, transgender individuals, and others lacking proper documentation. These residents often struggle to obtain an identification demonstrating that they live in the county and therefore have difficulty accessing basic services.


Note: Branches is wholly committed to protecting the privacy of all Miami-Dade Community ID applicants. Applicants will not be asked about their immigration status for purposes of obtaining the card

Intake Process:

Pre-registration is required to attend one of our Miami-Dade Community ID Events taking place periodically in different Miami-Dade County locations and Branches offices.

Eligibility:

formerly incarcerated persons, foster youth, transgender persons, the homeless, new immigrants, refugees, or anyone who might face difficulties obtaining a state-issued ID.

*Mandatory orientation explaining benefits and limitations of ID card
*Present required documents to be reviewed
*We will take your picture and review the information that will be printed on your ID
*Your ID will be mailed to the address you provided within 2 weeks
