GOODWILL - VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION

Description:

Offers structured and supervised skills trainings and counseling services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to help individuals gain the skills and confidence they need to achieve self-sufficiency and/or live as independently as possible.

-Functional Assessment: assist participants in identifying their strengths, abilities, skills, interests, needs, and weaknesses so that they can improve their self-awareness and vocational development.

-Adult Day Training Centers: offers an interactive training environment. Skills learned in the Life Skills Development Level 3 - Adult Day Training will facilitate participants to advance to a higher training level. Skills learned in the Life Skills Development Level 4 !€“ Prevocational Services; includes community jobs experience that contributes to attain paid employment.

-Work Services: This service focuses on those individuals who have the capabilities and necessary work aptitudes, behaviors, and interests to perform in an unskilled or skilled job situation but that are still in need of individualized supervision and supportive counseling due to a specific condition(s) which impair their productivity and earning capacity or preclude them from obtaining and/or maintaining a job in the community.
