Description:

The Healthy Start Program is an initiative that assures that pregnant women and young children ages 0-3 years in Florida have access to prenatal and child health care and services necessary for mother and infants to have healthier outcomes.

These services are provided by various providers in the community in partnership with the Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade. Services offered includes

* Care Coordination
* Nutrition Counseling
* Psychosocial Counseling
* Parenting Support
* Childbirth Education
* Breastfeeding Education and Support
* Smoking Cessation Counseling

Hours:

8:00am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri

Intake Process:

Call for appointment. Client is referred to a location based on zip code and risk factors.

Free

Languages:

English, Spanish, Creole

Eligibility:

All pregnant women and teenagers regardless of their marital, economic or immigration status, if they are at high risk for a poor pregnancy outcome (as identified by universal screening tool). This includes post-partum women and their infants up to age three (0 to 3 years old).

Note: Pregnant teenagers qualify immediately.
