Description:

A highly structured program for single women and women with their children. Special emphasis on the prevention of births of substance exposed newborns. All women being treated at the facility have a history of chronic substance abuse and have not been responsive to prior attempts to alter this behavior pattern. Services provided include individual, family and group counseling, substance education, relapse prevention, smoking cessation, conflict resolution and harm reduction, nutrition classes provided by a certified nutritionist, health and wellness didactic groups by a registered nurse practitioner, job readiness, management of medication, women's health issues, GED, HIV education and prevention classes, social and life skills, and recreation services.

Eligibility:

Reaves Women's Center helps women over 21 years with substance abuse problems. Priority given to pregnant females, and provides other medical attention.

Single women and women with their children up to 5 years old.
