Description:
The Family Day campaign promotes family bonding by targeting the 4th Monday of September for parents to sign a pledge to eat meals together, specifically that day. Eating meals together promotes family communication and bonding. Research has proven that increased family bonding is an excellent way to help prevent children's substance abuse.
The agency collects signed pledges and parents become part of the Informed Families Parent Network. This makes it possible for parents to receive additional prevention information and have the opportunity to participate in other prevention activities.
