CAMILLUS HOUSE - HOMELESS PREVENTION PROGRAM

Description:

Camillus House provides assistance to households who are at risk of becoming homeless because of a court-ordered eviction, or for a similar reason. The assistance the household at risk of homelessness might receive depends on whether that household qualifies for one of the homeless prevention programs that Camillus House offers.

This service will be provided to any non-chronic homeless men, women with children, including families, who have been homeless for one year or less or at risk of homelessness. They must also have a letter from their neighborhood center in order to receive service.



NOTE: Please be advised that if client has no income (see below intake) they do not qualify for the program.
Refer to HANDS PROGRAM. Only taking 24 hour eviction notice until further due to funding. This Program is subject to funding availability. Because program funding is limited, not all applicants may be contacted. Eligible applicants will be contacted in numerical order, based on the order the application for assistance was received. An application for assistance will be considered complete only when all documentation has been provided. Funding assistance will be provided until all of the program funds are distributed.

Intake Process:

Must have:
*5 day eviction notice issued by the courthouse.
*Only completing eviction notice for 24 hours
*Must have a case number number and be verified that its from court.
*One person in the family must be receiving income Example: Unemployment, Social Security, Disability etc.
*Letter from their neighborhood center in order to receive service.

Individuals and families facing eviction and having a 5-day eviction notice issued by the courthouse.
