This program provides information for potential foster parents, current foster families, and children and youth in foster care.
If you are interested in learning more about whether fostering is right for your family, you may call Florida!s Foster Information Center. A foster community ambassador will be available to talk with you and can support your next steps. You may also request more information online and a foster community ambassador will reach out to you the next business day.

Eligibility:
To qualify as a potential foster parent you must:
* Attend an orientation.
* Complete 20 to 30 hours of foster parent training.
* Have a child abuse and criminal background check.
* Participate in a home inspection.
* Participate in a home study to review your readiness for fostering.
