MDC - KENDALL CAMPUS - UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM

Description:

We are a Federally Funded TRIO program designed to help, guide, and support Veterans to enroll in college. We provide: mobile one-on-one tutoring for refresher courses and test preparations, mobile success-coaching, academic-assistance, referral to community partners and a monthly participation stipend.

Hours:

9:00am-5:00pm, (hours vary and are flexible based on the veterans need).

Program Fees:

No fee, the program is free of charge. A stipend is actually provided for participation.

Eligibility:

Be a US Military Veteran, with a minimum of 180 days of service w/ honorable discharge and be one or all of the following:

1- At risk of academic failure
2- A first generation college student (neither parent has a four year degree)
3- Considered low income (federal guidelines)
4- Not yet completed or attained a degree
5- Must have more than 180 days of military service (or less if medically discharged)
6- Discharge must be other than dishonorable
7- DD 214 required.
