Description:

The LFMMC offers free breast health screening, health education, and navigation services for women without access to care in Miami-Dade County. Services provided in collaboration with organizations, including the health department, federally qualified health centers, cancer support and advocacy groups, places of worship, and shelters for people experiencing homelessness.

Intake Process:

Must call to schedule an appointment first. If no one answers, please leave a message. The mammography team will return your call upon return from working out in the community.

English, Spanish, Creole, other languages are available upon request.

Eligibility:

Must be at least 40 years old, live in Miami Dade County and be uninsured.

On the day of the visit must bring at least 2 emergency contacts and if you have had previous mammograms please bring a copy of your reports and any prior images.

Must NOT have any of the following:

A mammogram within the last year.
History of breast cancer.
Pregnant or breast feeding.
Any breast symptoms such as lumps or bumps, nipple discharge, skin changes, or changes in the appearance of your breast such as dimpling, swelling or shrinkage.
