Description:
Florida Palms Academy is a 38-bed Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP) that provides treatment for youth who could benefit from intensive residential psychiatric treatment. Youth receive an individualized education curriculum while receiving therapeutic services. The average length of stay is approximately 6 months.

Eligibility:
Children 6-14 years old.
Children in elementary and middle school.
Children with longstanding histories of trauma in their lives (i.e. physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse).
Children with a major mental health diagnosis on Axis I and referred by a treating psychiatrist or treating licensed psychologist.
