The UM Linda Ray Intervention Center Birth to 2 Program In partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Florida!€™s Early Steps program, provides daily early intervention services to infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. To program aims to promote positive development in motor skills, early language development, emergent literacy skills and social-emotional development, as well as parent involvement. Highly qualified staff and licensed therapist work collaboratively to implement the child!€™s Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP).

The Center utilizes the evidence based HighScope Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers. The five basic principles of HighScope encompass- active learning, positive adult-child interactions, a child friendly learning environment, a consistent daily routine, and team-based assessment. Additionally, Conscious Discipline techniques (trauma informed approach) are incorporated during Baby Doll Circle Time to support attachment and build joint attention skills during small group time.

Support social services to infants and toddlers with identified development delays, prenatal drug exposure and/or are at risk for maltreatment enrolled in the program up to 3 years of age includes transition to developmentally appropriate educational program including M-DCPS Pre-K ESE and HeadStart Program.

Hours:

8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Extended Hours 2:20pm-4:30pm available (Limited slots available).

Intake Process:

Children will be screened and evaluated for developmental delays. Program enrollment is for those who have been identified with a developmental delay and are eligible for an Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP).
