CITY OF MIAMI - HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - SENIOR ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Description:

The City of Miami Senior Rental Assistance program provides up to $500 in rental assistance, based on need, to qualifying senior applicants who are renters in the City of Miami, are 50% AMI and below, and spend more than 30% of their income towards rental housing costs.

NOTE: In order to qualify, the applicant rent must be current. This program cannot pay past due rent or rental arrears.
If an applicant is approved, the assistance amount is issued directly to the applicant landlord on a monthly basis, for a 12-month period. Please note, if you are a current Section 8 client or reside in Public Housing or in a Sec. 202 project, you are INELIGIBLE for this program.

Seniors 62 and over.
rent a unit within City of Miami limits.
Must have a household income of 50% AMI and below, based on the number of persons in the household.
Must be current on their rent.
Must have an executed lease/rental agreement.
