Description:
Housing Choice Voucher is the new name for Section 8. Families in the voucher program have the choice and responsibility to select their own housing location within HHA!s jurisdiction and with a landlord that is willing to accept vouchers. HCVP tenants will pay between 30% and 40% of their household income toward rent.

Intake Process:
Preliminary applications must be completed online at: hialeahhousing.housingmanager.com
The HHA and City of Hialeah, will assist families who do not have access to a computer in completing a preliminary application in all City of Hialeah Public Libraries.
The following information is needed in order to successfully submit the pre-application: Names, social security numbers, birth dates and income information for everyone in the household.
Only one application per household will be permitted.
